Difficulty
Esto Perpetua, the Idaho State Motto. This piece is a concert band version of the Boise Gems Drum and Bugle Corps first ever field show. The concert band version features new percussion sounds and a more accessible orchestration of the work. The piece is divided into 3 parts, the start of motion, the acceleration of motion, then finally the continuation of motion forever. It's a representation of the corps, hoping to be going on forever. Hints of Aaron Copland's styles are sprinkled throughout the piece as an homage to the eventually cut piece that was meant to be The Promise of Living as the corps' ballad for their first year.
