Difficulty

Powerstroke is an easy and fun piece for the band to let loose! With driving rhythms, big dynamic shifts and lots of energy, this will surely be a band favorite. The piece is based on a G minor pentatonic scale so there are only five notes in the whole piece. There is an optional piano part, baritone TC, and plenty of percussion parts to utilize. The piece can be played with a small instrumentation since there is not a lot of harmony and all parts are double throughout the band.

Length: 2'16"

Parts: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, String Bass, Timpani, Marimba, Xylophone, Snare Drum, Bass Drum, Crash Cymbal, Piano
