Erick Odiweric

Erick Odiweric (b 1996) is a Kenyan composer, currently based in Nairobi. His music employs beauty, freedom, justice and simplicity. He learnt music with his teacher Aol Onyango at the Premier Academy of Music and also directed the Tumsda Choir-Mombasa. Recently, he has completed a short certificate course in music from the International Youth Fellowship Kenya’s free Weekend Academy and is pursuing music at Alison Courses, an online platform. The budding composer has written short pieces for the Castle of Our Skins Concert Series BCMC 3.0 and BCMC 4.0. He also participated in the JACK Studio Reading 2023; in which he presented a short work for string quartet. The composer has composed various pieces for various instruments and enjoys being a member of The Collegiate Choral Composition Community.
