Country Meets Big Band

Chris Price, the arranger of this tune often likes to go country swing dancing on weekends. One weekend he heard this piece and instantly knew it needed to be put together for an ensemble. He wrote it for the Spokane Falls Community College Jazz Ensemble and they played it in their 2026 winter program.

The tune features a solo section and a small feature for a trombone player. The tune has a nice 12/8 feel to it but is instead noted as a waltz. Fun to dance to, and fun to play.
